“Shine” In Your Career

For many of us, it's about finding joy in what we do, staying true to ourselves, and making a difference in ways that matter. But let's be honest: the usual career paths out there often push us to fit into boxes, to follow the crowd, and sometimes, to sideline our real passions. These traditional routes can sometimes dim our natural spark.
So, as high-achieving women, it's worth asking: Are we on a path that truly lets us shine, or is there a better way for us to make our mark?
Choosing Your Path to Shine
I once felt trapped in a singular path: college, climbing the corporate ladder, working harder, then retirement. While I achieved a lot and rose up the ranks steadily in my market research career, there came a moment when they no longer resonated. I knew I was meant to do things differently, so I went on a quest to discover my true purpose.
When the notion of empowering women through image consulting first got my attention years ago, my inner excitement was uncontainable. I joined a local chapter, started studying to get my image consulting certification, and invested in a training course to get me hands-on skills—there was no stopping me once this inner fire in me was ignited. It was just a matter of time before I knew I’d resign and leap into entrepreneurship full-time.
So many women remain in familiar patterns for years, perhaps lifetimes, unaware of the richer lives and careers awaiting us beyond those boundaries.
Yet, when we courageously peek outside our familiar "boxes," new horizons emerge, filled with transformative possibilities. It isn't until we DARE to pop out of the boxes we’ve contained ourselves in that we can look around and see other, better ways of doing life and work.
Through my Unveil Your Brilliance leadership development program, I aim to broaden your horizons, helping you reshape your life's narrative and realize profound outcomes. This experience can shift your perspectives so you posture yourself differently in life and achieve different outcomes.

Reflecting upon my journey, I wish I had embraced this revelation sooner. I've discovered that it is everything— to be free to be the best and fullest expression of yourself, working with people you adore, making a BIG difference, and transforming lives, systems, or communities—well there's just nothing better.
